Horror author ERIC MORSE has his own online radio show on Blog Talk Radio where he talks about his "career". So I decided to call in and interview him during his show about him dealing with his haters.
ME: Hello. I was wondering if I could get an interview in real quick with you.
EM: Yes of course.
ME: What's your Favorite Friday Sequel?
EM: It's hard to say, but I really liked #9.
ME: Because it was an influence?
EM: Yea it influenced my work alot.
ME: Do you support Independent film productions being bought out by bigger studios, like New Lines being bought by Warner Bros, or staying smaller like Troma?
EM: I support them going big time because of the bigger budgets and productions opportunities.
(The other guy who was on said he was against it because it ruins part of the artistic idea. He actually knew what was up unlike Morse in my opinion.)
ME: Who is your least favorite "Morse Basher"?
EM: It's hard to say out of all of the haters because most of them post anonymously.
ME: What about out of the ones who you know their name?
EM: Wil Keiper. Mainly because he posts terrible threads all over his site (HorrorYearbook.com) flaming me and I've even had to get the FBI involved. It's even worse because he was posting negative about me searching for a lost friend of mine.
ME: Yes. Dark Spider.
ME: When's the next Friday movie coming?
EM: Well I'm in talks right now with a lot of different people. One guy is doing one for Jason's Curse and it's in pre-production set to shoot next year. Another guy is doing a film for Road Trip and someone is even in talks to do one based on The Carnival even though i believe that would be a hard one for him to do.
ME: Because of the budget?
EM: Not really that. The guy is actually a carny who has access to all of those utilities.
ME: Do you ever get the feeling that the "Morse Bashers" are spreading knowledge about you to even more of the horror community?
EM: Yes I do. I do actually have thank them for that. Controversy sells and even their flaming of me is spreading my name out in the community. In fact, how many young adult authors do you know that have people waiting and willing to spend alot of their money and time, like what Corey Stevens did for Mother's Day, in order to make a film based on their work?
ME: Not that many that are alive. I'd say it's a fairly exclusive group.
EM: Exactly. I just wanna thank you for taking the time to call in and ask these questions and I'm so happy that none of the "Morse Bashers" called in to insult me. It just goes to show you what my momma told me. Expose a bully for what they are, and you expose a coward.
ME: Ok goodbye.
